I tested the acid effect a little bit on Map 5, first wave is an ogre. I had one standard archer shoot at it, then I retried and put an acid trap + an archer to see the difference in the damage and it seemed fairly significant, but it's really hard to tell without actual number displays and while trying to mentally compensate for the traps inherent DoT damage as well.
