Every year, countless new vehicles are released by automakers across the globe. The diligent experts of the auto industry over at Autotrader.com sift through this onslaught of new options in search of just one dozen vehicles that they feel are the absolute best available options for consumers. All of us here at James Ceranti were thrilled - though not the least surprised - to see the new 2019 Nissan Altima on that elite list of 12.
Announced on April 17th at the annual New York International Auto Show, the “12 Best New Cars for 2019” list was comprised only of vehicles that were entirely updated or entirely new for the 2019 model year. This list was not only limited to sedans like the Nissan Altima; it included all categories of vehicles, from SUVs to subcompacts, ratcheting up the competition even higher.
Autotrader honored the all-new Nissan Altima for its exquisite interior, stating that its refined cabin gave one the sense of being in a much more expensive vehicle; for its available all-wheel drive, setting it apart from the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord; and for its available VC-Turbo compression engine for advanced power delivery and increased efficiency. Another feature of the new Nissan Altima highlighted by Autotrader was its “surprisingly good driving dynamics.” Add all these glowing reviews together, and it is clear that the 2019 Nissan Altima looks, drives, and feels like a vehicle far beyond its class and price-point.
The all-new Nissan Altima is offered in five unique trims: S, SR, SV, SL, and Platinum. Each model comes standard with the 2.5-liter engine and offers available Intelligent All-Wheel Drive. Additional standard features include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, an eight-inch diagonal full-color touch display, Rear Door Alert2, Intelligent Forward Collision Warning, and Automatic Emergency Braking. The SR and Platinum trim levels offer an available 2.0-liter VC-Turbo engine.
